BLOODTHORN: New Song Available For Download

A brand-new BLOODTHORN, track, entitled "Blood and Iron", has been made available for download at this location. The song comes off the Norwegian death metal band's new album, "Genocide", due in Europe on February 20 (February 13 in U.K. and Norway) via Morningstar Records.

A video teaser containing sound clips of many of the songs that appear on "Genocide" has been posted online at this location. The teaser can also be viewed in an online player onhe official BLOODTHORN MySpace page here.

"Genocide" was recorded at Godt Selskap Studio (CHTON, GRIFFIN, KEEP OF KALESSIN) with Knut Fug Prytz (NECROPHAGIA) producing. The CD, which has a running time of nearly 50 minutes, will mark the group's first release with guitarist Ihizahg (ex-PERISHED, WURDULAK, live guitarist for MAYHEM). "He's been working with us for several years now and wrote a good deal of the material on the new album, which will be the heaviest and most extreme BLOODTHORN album to this day," the band write in a statement.

BLOODTHORN have been confirmed for the Wacken Open Air Festival in Wacken, Germany and Inferno Festival in Oslo, Norway. A release party for "Genocide" will take place on February 17 at Blæst in Trondheim, Norway. Support at the show will come from GOAT THE HEAD. The release party will be streamed live online in its entirety via www.gigs.no, courtesy of Legio Media.
